Check out what I've been up to this summer!
Wow! It's been almost half a year since I've spoken with many of you, and a lot has happened. I wanted to catch you up on some of the things that have been happening in my life; for more information, click on the links below.
Summer Camp
To begin with, I spent my summer break working as a Guest Services Associate at Black Diamond Camps in Auburn, Washington (closer to Kent, WA, actually). This job convinced me that good communication is the single most important part of a successful business.

Summer Camp (Again)
In late September, I attended the University of Oregon's Holden Center LeaderShape Institute for a full week. In addition to making some incredible friends, I refined my vision for transforming education.

Back to School
As a senior at the Lundquist College of Business, the school year is off to a great start. Besides taking a full course-load of Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Management classes, I am working 11 hours a week as a tutor at the American English Institute. I have also joined the Student Advisory Board of the Holden Center for Leadership and Community Engagement.

Research
As I consider pursuing a graduate degree, I am involved in a variety of Professor Troy Campbell's research activities. To promote Innovation Week, I helped transform the Lillis Business Complex into a creative space.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leadership
Perhaps most importantly, I continue to be heavily involved in the National Society of Leadership and Success. The NSLS has expanded its Executive Board to ten seats, and we welcomed a record 250 new members during Orientation.

Career Update
After much prayer and advice, I recently declined Teach For America's offer of employment as an elementary-school teacher in Connecticut.
